Project Manager

Description:
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, implementation and overseeing of operations activity for assigned Production Manufacturing, Quick-turn Prototype and Assembly projects.

Requirements:
Responsibilities will include:

• Contract review and successful Sales-to-Operations project hand-off.
• Develop and manage time lines for new and repeat manufacturing projects.
• Act as the primary point of contact with customers during the development phases, as well as, throughout project execution.
• Develop cross-functional teams to lead project plan development and execution that meets internal and contractual requirements with emphasis on timeline and budget constraints.
• Proactively manage risks and issues that could impact customer commitments.
• Monitor and deliver job status information to customers and senior management.
• Management of customer Kan-Ban and Vendor Managed Inventory agreements.
• Management of outsourced projects including vendor qualification, PO initiation and schedules.

Minimum requirements for this position:

• 3 plus years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience identifying resource, equipment and business requirements and translating them into detailed project plans.
• Strong customer focus and a high degree of motivation to work in a fast–paced environment.
• Highly competent with project management tools including: risk management, scheduling and team communications.
• Excellent general computer skills and an interest in expanding those skills.
• Personal ownership in the successes and shortcomings of the assigned projects as a whole.
• Strong emphasis on personal interaction and excellent communications skills.

Entry Level Machinist

Description:
Full time positions on the Day, Night and Weekend shifts are available. Basic operation of VMCs, HMCs and Lathes.

Requirements:
• 1 year minimum experience or equivalent schooling.
• Ability to read CAD drawings, follow written process instructions
• Basic inspection abilities with a large variety of hand tools.
• Basic understanding of G-Code programs.
• Moderate general computer skills with MS Internet Explorer and an interest in expanding those skills.
• Excellent communications skills

Quality Assurance Inspector

Description:
The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for the verification and documentation of incoming, in process, and final inspection of materials & processes in a machine shop environment. This is a full time position on the day shift (either 4 -10’s or 5-8’s)

Requirements:
Responsibilities will include:

• Outgoing/Incoming inspection of materials and products to and from vendors.
• 1st. Article inspection and documentation of machined and assembled products.
• In-Process and Final Inspection of products.
• Review and disposition of non-conforming product.
• Maintain and facilitate Vendor Managed Inventory or Kanban agreements.
• Occasional Receiving/Shipping of material or product.
• Create and/or follow-up on internal Corrective Action Requests.


Minimum requirements for this position:

• 5 plus years of inspection experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified machine shop environment.
• Ability to select, set-up and operate appropriate inspection and measurement equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong customer focus and a high degree of motivation to work in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent general computer skills and an interest in expanding those skills.
• Personal ownership in the successes and shortcomings of the assigned work with a strong emphasis on personal interaction and excellent communications skills.


Additional items that would aid in your success:

• Programming, Set-up and operation of a C.M.M.
• Experience operating CNC Mils and/or Lathes
• Certified Quality Inspector.
• Experience with Internal Auditing.
• Proven history with Lean Manufacturing techniques and improvement (Kiazen) projects.

CNC Mill Set-up Machinist

Description:
Full time positions on the Night and Weekend shifts are available.

Requirements:
Minimum requirements for this position:

• 3 years minimum 1st run set-up experience.
• Excellent problem solving skill and experience for all aspects of machining process.
• Ability to set-up VMC and HMC without assistance, quickly and accurately.
• Trouble shoot and problem solve.
• Advanced inspection abilities including Optical Comparator, and a large variety of hand tools.
• Ability to fluently read G-Code programs, with emphasis on Macro programming
• Excellent general computer skills (no particular software needed) and an interest in expanding those skills.

Production CNC Programmer/Department Lead

Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of departmental operations for the Planning and Programming of production CNC machining jobs for vertical mills, horizontal mills and turning centers. This is a “Working” lead position and in conjunction with managing a staff of approximately 4-6 individuals, this individual will also be expected to perform duties as a Planner/Programmer.

Requirements:
Responsibilities will include:

• Department Scheduling, Work assignment, Process development & Job planning.
• Employee review, oversight and training.
• Development and planning of technical advancement and the broadening of technical capabilities within the department.
• Standardization of Programming and Manufacturing techniques.
• Overall departmental output and performance.

Departmental responsibilities include:

• Drawing/3D model review for details and discrepancies, make suggestions for changes that will increase manufacturability.
• Design robust yet inexpensive work holding techniques and fixtures that work well in a lean production environment with a flow type manufacturing process.
• Select cost effective cutting tools to balance cycle time and tool life with cutting performance and overall cost.
• Efficiently and quickly produce high quality programs, for medium to high complexity parts.
• Produce programs that can be set-up with little or no troubleshooting on the shop floor.
• Meet or exceed cycle time estimates from our estimating department.
• Document the manufacturing process in our ERP software with detailed instructions on how to set-up and run the job.
• Develop and document in-process inspection criteria to ensure conformity over the run of parts.
• Occasionally set-up own jobs and help set-up machinists with your programs.

Minimum requirements for this position:

• 5 plus years of programming complex CNC milled parts, both 3 and 4 axis. Most CAM software experience will be considered.
• Proven history of strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to develop robust trouble-free manufacturing plans and CNC programs.
• Strong customer focus and a high degree of motivation to work in a fast–paced environment.
• Excellent general computer skills and an interest in expanding those skills.
• Personal ownership in the successes and shortcomings of the assigned projects as a whole.
• Must be a “US person” and can meet requirements to work on ITAR projects.

Additional items that would aid in your success:

• Experience with Pro/E and Pro/MANUFACTURING
• Programming experience for CNC lathes with live tooling
• 5 axis CNC mill programming experience.
